INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION FOR EVALUATION OF JOURNALS
The International Organization for Evaluation of Journals
assesses the value of journals that publish research articles in
fields of science and humanities. Researchers worldwide
depend on our assessment in selecting the journal in which they
will publish their results.  Additionally, libraries throughout the
world use our annual reports to pick the most impacting
periodicals that they will buy.
Annually, the organization assigns an impact factor (IF) for each
journal based on the number of its articles that have been cited.
The organization calculates an impact factor through numerical
evaluation of citations and journal’s influence metrics.
The International Organization for Evaluation of Journals sends
to its subscribers annual “Periodical Impact Report® (PIR)”.
PIRs advise researchers about the real value of each journal in
fields of science and humanities. Impact factors in PIRs will
rank journals so it is easy to pick the one that is most
appropriate. PIRs include other results of statistical analysis of
journals impact. Among these indicators are: cited median age,
citations of an article in one year, fifty most cited journals per
field, and citing median age for journal.
